The bed rests on four detached cylindrical columns, punctuated by rings finely gilded with gold leaf. The ends feature simple yet powerful scrolls, directly inspired by Antiquity, characteristic of furniture during the First Empire. The slightly curved front showcases a mahogany veneer with a deep and warm flame pattern. It is adorned in its center with an elegant gilt bronze allegorical motif. The entire piece is finished with a French polish (shellac), offering a high-quality traditional finish that highlights the richness of the grain. Condition Very good overall condition.
