Solid Mahogany Office Chair – Directoire Period, French Polished Finish. This elegant solid mahogany office chair rests on four tapered legs at the front and slightly saber-shaped legs at the back, characteristic of the restrained and architectural aesthetic of the Directoire period. The beautifully designed scrolled armrests frame a gently curved, horizontally sloping back. The overall proportions are harmonious and balanced. The seat and back are upholstered in brown studded leather, in good condition. The wood has a beautiful French polished finish, highlighting the depth and grain of the mahogany.
