Oil on cardboard, framed, large format, whose panoramic composition offers a beautiful sense of depth with the fishing boats in the foreground, catching the soft, filtered light of a late afternoon on the pretty village of Collioure (in the Pyrénées-Orientales). 20th century, around the 1950s.

Biography:
Giuseppe Vittorio Lumbroso, known as Guy the Florentine, was an Italian painter, born in 1907 in Livorno and died in 1978 in Paris. Giuseppe Vittorio Lumbroso, commonly called "Guy the Florentine," spent his childhood and adolescence in Italy and arrived in Marseille in the 1920s.
There he met Raimu, who offered him a film role, but Guy the Florentin preferred to dedicate himself to painting.
He earned a living by creating commissioned portraits, but became primarily known for his Corsican and Provençal landscapes.
In 1927, he founded La Galerie Contemporaine in Paris (Montmartre).
He resided in Corsica from 1930 to 1938, then lived between Marseille, Monaco, and Paris until the end of his life.
