It rests on two fluted and reeded pyramidal square legs, joined by a stretcher with a floral basket and garlands.
The carved apron is adorned with half-pile coins and cascading garlands of flowers and leaves.
In the center is a Louis XVI ribbon.
The original gilding is beautiful and vibrant.
The veined brown marble top is old; it appears to be an addition as it does not perfectly follow the contours of the console, but it suits it very well. It was previously repaired with pins underneath.
This console table is very elegant; the shape of the legs suggests a console table originating from Provence.
There are some minor repairs to the apron's assembly and very slight losses of gilding.
Louis XVI period, late 18th century.
