Léon Bellemont (1866–1961):
A French painter born in Langres, Léon Bellemont trained in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts in the studio of Léon Bonnat. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1896 onward, where he received several awards, including a medal in 1905 and the status of Hors-Concours (outside the competition) in 1925. His work, influenced by realism and impressionism, is distinguished by its landscapes and seascapes, particularly inspired by Brittany, as well as by its scenes of daily life and popular traditions. Some of his works are held in public collections, including the Locronan Art Museum.
