An elegant modernist chest of drawers with its matching large mirror, attributed to the French designer Pierre Guariche, a major figure in the design of the post-war boom years. The set displays all the stylistic characteristics of his work from the 1960s: a light horizontal line, slender, recessed black legs, minimalist square metal handles, and a superb rosewood veneer with a highly decorative grain. The original mirror, framed in the same veneer, transforms the piece into a particularly elegant dressing table or entryway console. Mirror dimensions: 60cm x 106cm high.
