Reichsgendarme helmet from Alsace-Lorraine. Tulip-shaped spike helmet without a pommel, imperial eagle with folded wings, for an officer or Wachtmeister. Interior marked "MOHR & B Peyer, Strasbourg, Metz, Berlin". Good overall condition, missing the rivets securing the spike. Late 19th century.
