Pair Of Candlesticks - Gilt Bronze And Cloisonne Enamel - Neo-gothic - 19th Century
A pair of chased and gilded bronze candlesticks with cloisonné enamel. In the Neo-Gothic style, decorated with animal heads and interlacing patterns, they reproduce designs by Victor Geoffroy-Dechaume. The enamels are in excellent condition, with slight wear to the original gilding. No damage or restoration. Note the beautiful decoration of the base and the candle holder. France, circa 1850. Height: 17 cm. Diameter at the base: 9.8 cm.
