A glazed earthenware dish with a central dome from Vauvert, Gard, 18th century.
The decoration is nail-engraved and includes a flowerpot with a flowering tree, flowers, a star, a heart, a glass, and the inscriptions: "Bonne appety," "Boj" (?), "Brunel Brunelle."
The central dome is formed by a raised ring.
The rim is doubly scalloped.
There is an original hole in the rim.
Three small chips on the rim and an old repair using four twisted wires.
The attribution to Vauvert and the date refer to a dish by the same hand, located and dated 1733, by François Gautier (see photo). In used condition.
