"Pair Of Large Gilded Bronze Candelabra"
Prestigious pair of five-flame candelabra in gilt bronze, Empire style, 19th century. The shafts are made up of elegant winged female figures in draped dresses of ancient style, depicted standing on a sphere, with their arms raised to support the candle-holder body with a rich development of sinuous arms decorated with volutes, acanthus leaves and pods.
The allegorical figure rests delicately on a sphere, a symbolic element of universal triumph, which acts as a connection with the cylindrical base. The latter is enriched by a decorative apparatus in bas-relief with garlands and mythological figures of an archaeological flavour, rising on a solid plinth with a square base.
