"Danish School (c. 1900) - Mother And Son"
- Oil on canvas. Signed R. OLE. - Beneath a tin-white sky, this Danish canvas freezes a mother and her son in the suffocation of an incurable anhedonia, where silence weighs heavier than flesh. Their gazes, distorted by angst, never meet, wandering in the void of a stripped-down interior that is no longer a home but the stage for an inner exile. It is the pictorial epitaph of the maternal bond, devoured by a metaphysical solitude where every shadow seems to scream the nothingness of existence. - 80 x 101 cm / 95 x 114.5 cm with frame.
