Evarist Opzommer (Mechelen, 1910-Duffel, 1988).
Painter, draftsman, but above all, sculptor. Trained at the Mechelen Academy under Théo Blickx and H. Van Perck (1929-1933) and at the Brussels Academy. Professor at the Mechelen Academy from 1940 to 1943.
Exhibited in 1930 with the "Cercle Opstanding". His works were shown at the Brussels and Ghent Salons, and at "La sculpture en plein air" in Forest in 1955.
