"the Heron" Desk Lamp
A sculptural desk lamp from the 1970s depicting a heron standing on what appears to be a section of a fallen tree trunk, a common sight by the water. Beside this wading bird stands a reed, the typical plant of freshwater habitats. Between the two, a long stem rises discreetly, supporting the lampshade, black on the outside and gold on the inside, which, once the bulb is lit, accentuates the polished brass of this beautiful sculptural piece.
