"Exceptional Pair Of Louis XV Style Silver Candlesticks By Boin-taburet"
This exceptional pair of Louis XV style candlesticks was made around 1880 in solid silver. The central support and the candle arms are delicately shaped and feature foliage directly inspired by the Rococo style. These candlesticks were made by the Boin-Taburet firm. The firm was founded by Emile Taburet, who partnered with his son-in-law, Georges Boin, an antique dealer. The firm thus adopted the name 'Boin Taburet' in 1880. They exhibited at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889. The 'Boin Taburet' mark is present on both bases of the candlesticks. Minerva hallmark. Approximately 5.3 kg.
