Early Morning On The Venesian Laguna

A pair of paintings offered as a set, signed F. Poggi… far removed from contemporary paintings that depict Venice through photographic canvases—scratched, blurred, knife-painted, licked, pixelated—here, time has stood still.
François Poggi created his two oil paintings on location. He conveys his impressions: the tranquility, the sounds of the gentle breeze, even the scent of the lagoon.
The sea still sleeps; day breaks over the water, which shimmers with the brilliance of mercury and honey, where only the gentle lapping of the gondolier's oar disturbs the silence.
The fishing couple remains motionless, so as not to disrupt the majesty of the moment.
These two paintings will be shipped with or without their Napoleon III frames, which, in my opinion, weigh them down.
These paintings have just be taken down from their home and have barely been dusted. Dimensions with frame: 64x44 and 57x40
