Description

Walnut solid-wood cassone chest of substantial thickness, clad and reinforced with sheet-metal plates secured by numerous visible rivets. The sides are fitted with wrought-iron ring handles. The lid is secured by a key-operated lock and by iron bolts engaging into metal sockets within the body of the cassone.
