Pair of Large Sarreguemines Faience Plant Pots – Pheasant Decoration. Spectacular pair of polychrome faience plant pots from the Sarreguemines factory, late 19th century, with a rich naturalistic decoration in low relief depicting pheasants with shimmering plumage amidst lush vegetation (ferns and branches). Very high quality of workmanship, with fine detail and a vibrant, harmonious palette contrasting with the graduated celadon background. Slightly scalloped upper rim, blue glazed interior. A spectacular model due to its size and lively decoration, ideal as a planter or decorative element.
