Three Little Girls In Polychrome Terracotta, Entitled "a Project", Signed Salesio
Artist: Salesio
Terracotta with Three Children "a Project" By Salesio.
A charming polychrome terracotta piece depicting three little girls chatting on a bench, titled "A Project" by Salesio.
This delightful terracotta, in the style of Goldschedier, dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. It is in very good condition, although there appear to have been some minor restorations in the 20th century, which are now virtually invisible. The three little girls are busy chatting on a bench, a charming theme.
The artist has captured typical childhood attitudes: the delighted expressions of children sharing a secret, their legs stretched out on the bench, etc.
A small brass plaque on the front bears the title and the artist's name.
There are a few annotations inside the terracotta.
Dimensions:
30 cm long x 25 cm deep x 30 cm high.
