"Louis XVI Period Trumeau, 156 X 113 Cm, With Painting Of A Hunting Scene "
A beautiful Louis XVI period trumeau mirror, late 18th century. It features a mirror in the lower section (54 x 71 cm) and an oil painting on canvas in the upper section (71 x 70 cm). The scene depicts a hunter returning home, presenting his catch (probably some thrush) to a woman seated in a drawing room, likely his wife or fiancée. The original back panel is well-mounted with a system of wedges and pegs. It is made of lacquered and gilded wood. In good condition.
