Large bronze incense burner with a beautiful antique patina, 19th-century Asian art, presented with its original base. A large, architectural, and highly decorative piece. The incense burner rests on four feet sculpted in the form of finely crafted, fantastical heads. The quadrangular body features cartouches in relief. The side handles are openwork and elegantly worked. The upper gallery is openwork with stylized plant and animal motifs. The lid has a sculpted handle. The separate, entirely openwork base is adorned in the center of each face with a fantastical head in relief (present on all four sides).
