"Restoration Period Clock"
A beautiful gilt and patinated bronze clock. The case features lanceolate leaves, a Roman numeral dial, and a laurel frieze. The clock depicts a lyre and a draped woman in classical style, crowned with laurel. The cornice displays the attributes and masks of the poets Plautus and Terence. It has a cyma molding and palmette feet. Circa 1815. The mechanism has been serviced and is sold with instructions. Height 48 cm, width 33 cm, depth 11.5 cm. Delivery available.
