Wooden box originating from the High Vosges Mountains - Folk art - 19th century. Rectangular box/casket, possibly for a wedding, lacemaker, or "catch-all," carved from wood with geometric shapes. Rustic hinges made of wire. Closes with a hook and ring. Made of beech wood. Good condition. Width 25 cm, depth 13.5 cm, height 10.5 cm. Other pieces of this type are available in my gallery.
