"Pair Of Lacquered And Painted Bronze Collar Buttons, Imperial Russia, 19th Century"
Antique pair of lacquered and painted bronze collar buttons. They depict a man and a woman in traditional dress, each taking tea in a dacha interior. Each button measures approximately 3.2 cm in diameter. The buttons consist of a black lacquered and hand-painted upper section and a loop on the back. Both buttons are in excellent condition, exhibiting slight, normal age-related crazing of the lacquer, which does not affect the integrity of the lacquer or the paintwork. Origin: Imperial Russia, 19th century; the case is a later addition, 20th century.
