Pair of early Louis XV period armchairs in natural wood. Made in the South of France. These two chairs retain their original upholstery. The stretchers are undulating, and the feet are carved with small sabots. They are presented in their original, as-found condition, with their imperfections and wear. I felt it was important to present them as such, in order to preserve their decorative appeal and avoid altering their character. The upholstery is applied to generously padded seats and backs. The chairs are stable, sturdy, and comfortable. Dimensions: W62 x D55 cm. Seat height: 44 cm. Back height: 104 cm.
