Eugène Accard (1826 - 1888) - Woman With A Bird, 1858

An elegant woman, seated in her home, shares an intimate moment with her pet bird. Her outfit, a pale pink blouse and yellow taffeta dress, a colorful rug, and a bouquet of flowers illuminate the scene.

Biography

Eugène Accard, born in Bordeaux and died in Paris, was a student of Abel de Pujol. He exhibited at the Salon from 1848 to 1887. Initially a portrait painter, he later turned to genre painting.
