On the front is a small island with a weeping willow and a pine tree, crossed by a bridge. Inside, there is nashiji lacquer, and beneath the lid, a basket of flowers and butterflies. The lacquer is of very high quality. Signed underneath. Japan, Edo period (early 19th century), 14 x 10.5 x 6 cm.
