A superb and substantial solid silver samovar in the Rococo style, dating from the early 19th century, bearing the old man hallmark later re-checked with the Minerva mark. Richly chased with foliate motifs, small flowers, gadroons, and shells, it weighs 3.475 kg and is in perfect condition. Signed Odiot in Paris, with the old man and Minerva hallmarks and the silversmith's mark under the body.
