Solid silver sugar bowl with lid, decorated with scenes of figures, palmettes and chimeras. The coiled handles are finished with a lioness’s muzzle. The lid handle is shaped like a swan. The round base rests on four balls. The bowl is made of cut crystal. Hallmark of the Association of Silversmiths with the letter P on the left. ‘DG’ hallmark for master silversmith Denis Garreau, established in 1817 and based at 62 Rue du Temple in Paris.
