19th-century Light Mahogany Secretary Desk/scribbler

Elegant late 19th-century light mahogany secretary desk. With its beautiful original patina, it is in very good condition. It is in two parts: the lower section opens with a drop-front, covered in leather, and contains drawers and compartments. Below are four drawers with original bronze handles. The upper section has eight drawers and four compartments with hinged doors. (The drawers have been replaced; originally, they had leather inserts that were too worn to be salvaged!) Both functional and decorative, this piece would be a perfect fit for a living room, office, bedroom, entryway, etc. Its dimensions in cm: 110 x 58, height 213.
