"Pouchain Jacques (1925 - 2005) - l'Atelier Dieulefit - Tripod Covered Pot "
Jacques Pouchain for the Dieulefit Workshop: A charming covered earthenware pot, slip-glazed and glazed in cloudy blue tones with a symmetrical frieze design. It rests on three ball feet. (A small trace of restoration on one foot.) Jacques Pouchain (1925-2015) trained as an architect in Paris and settled in the Drôme region in the late 1940s. He initially worked for the Poët-Laval factory. In 1958, he opened the Dieulefit Workshop, where he produced utilitarian pieces in slip-glazed and glazed earthenware with a scarred decoration in greige, brown, or blue, as well as shaped pieces. He also continued his work as a painter.
