French School Animated Landscape Circa 1830 Romantic Period

This charming painting depicts a beautiful, idealized Italian-inspired scene under a blue sky barely dimmed by wispy clouds. Several boats and figures enliven this idyllic landscape, abundantly and finely wooded. On its original canvas, the reverse bears the stenciled mark of René Beaubeuf, a paint merchant and supplier to artists, who was active in Paris at 3 rue du Marché Saint-Honoré from 1830 to 1837. It has its original, beautiful, beveled stretcher with keys. The period frame is made of gilt-studded wood, richly decorated with pearls, palmettes, and laurel leaves. Dimensions: 41 cm x 54 cm canvas; 55 cm x 66 cm frame. Weight: 3.6 kg. Very good condition. Please note that I respond to all inquiries about my items.
