History:The Ottoman market became a significant customer of European porcelain and glass in the eighteenth century and European factories began producing a range of products including dishes, bowls and sahlep cups,a?urelik-jugs, catering specifically to the the Ottoman taste. Sahlep drink made from sahlep root in hot milk and cinnamon.Salep, also spelled sahlep or sahlab,is a flour made from the tubers of the orchid genus Orchis(including species Orchis masculaand Orchis militaris)The word salep ultimately comes from Arabic sa?lab through French and Turkish salep in the mid 18th century.

Condition: Very good,free of damage,some wear on gilding of the knob.
