Beautiful porcelain incense burner, work of the renowned Camille Tharaud in Limoges, circa 1930.
We offer this rare incense burner; note the presence of an opening around its base for the oxygen needed to burn the incense. There are also three other openings at the base of a small cylindrical inner receptacle for the incense. The lid has six holes to diffuse the fragrance.
This object also exists in a similar form as an inkwell.
