Louis XIV Marquetry Display Cabinet In Engraved Ivory And Tortoiseshell On An X-shaped Base
A Louis XIV style display cabinet, veneered in blackened wood and ebony, with an inlaid front of engraved ivory, ivory stringing, and blond tortoiseshell. The sides are decorated with ivory stringing. It rests on a base with an entablature also inlaid and X-shaped legs joined by a stretcher. The glass panes are old and have bubbles. Good condition. 19th century work.
