Albert De Villeroux studied drama, directing, theatre history, painting, and music at the Conservatories of Liège and Brussels. He founded and directed the Compagnie des Comédiens du Sud in Arlon in 1952. He also founded the small theatre La Poudrière, spiritually mentored by Jean Cocteau, with whom he corresponded regularly. He was also a friend of Jacques Brel. His work is represented in numerous collections and museums. He exhibited in Japan, Paris, Canada, Spain, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
