Important and beautiful Brussels earthenware tobacco jar. Decorated in blue monochrome with a cartouche surmounted by a marquis's coronet inscribed "TABAC de PARIS"; the handles are in the form of heads. It has retained its brass lid. Brussels, circa 1800. Minor chips.
