Pair of earthenware vases. Made in the Satsuma kilns of Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1912). Rich bronze mounts. Decorated with scenes of palaces, battles, birds of paradise, flowers, interlacing patterns... Very finely and richly decorated. The bronze bases are adorned with dragons.
