An elegant Napoleon III period games table, crafted from black lacquered wood, richly adorned with polychrome painted decoration and gilt highlights. The reversible top features, on one side, a magnificent hand-painted decoration depicting a flower basket accompanied by two birds, framed by finely executed gilt scrolls. The other side is covered with a green felt, allowing its use as a games table. The apron, decorated with painted floral garlands, and the cabriole legs with four curved feet, highlighted with gilt motifs, perfectly illustrate the refinement of the Second Empire style. A piece that is both decorative and functional, ideal for an elegant living room or a characterful interior.
