Large Secretary Desk In Solid Walnut, Restoration Period, Drop-front Desk

Magnificent large Restoration period secretary desk (1820-1830) in solid walnut with a beautiful patina and warm grain. It opens with a large drop-front covered in leather, forming a writing surface, revealing a compartment with drawers and storage space. The brass lamp with a glass shade is included and illuminates the interior. A simple and refined piece, typical of the period, resting on clean and balanced lines. The desk is in very good original condition, the drop-front is very stable and sturdy thanks to its chains. Its dimensions in cm: 102 x 50, height 157 (height at the drop-front 72).
