Antique Welsh writing desk from the mid-19th century. This high-quality furniture is finely carved and veneered in mahogany, palisander, and fruitwood. The desk is finished for the center and features two spacious drawers and a generously sized wooden top, making it ideal for professional use. The table rests on four carved legs with floral decorations, fitted with metal casters for easy movement.
Under one drawer, there is still a label indicating the desk's production, referring to Isaac Davies's Manufactory on King Street in Carmarthen, a well-known Welsh company founded around 1821. The furniture has undergone some restoration work over time (see photo). Structurally sound and solid, the desk shows some signs of wear, but is in overall good condition.
