An important pair of finely carved ivory statuettes depicting two celestial dancers in motion. Each figure is dressed in a traditional gown with flowing folds and light scarves, capturing exceptional grace. The carving is distinguished by the delicacy of the facial features and the detail of the hairstyles. The ivory has a beautiful natural honey patina as well as characteristic age-related cracks, attesting to its antiquity. The bases are marked with an apocryphal signature "Chenghua" in black ink. Height: 24 cm and 25 cm. Condition: Good overall condition, with wear consistent with age and natural patina.
