Biography:
Claude MIRVAL 1889/1973.
Claude Mirval was a French sculptor born in Paris in 1889 and died in 1973. He worked in Paris during the interwar period, the Art Deco era, and is considered an important artist of this period. Mirval created sculptures in bronze and terracotta, as well as decorative lighting fixtures, vases, and figurines.
Some of Mirval's most famous works are his bronze sculptures depicting dancers and athletes in motion, typical of the Art Deco aesthetic.
He also worked on abstract sculptures, portraits, and mythological figures.
Mirval's works were featured in several exhibitions, notably at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in Paris in 1927 and the Paris Universal Exposition in 1937.
