Object description :

"A Series Of 32 Stone Posts And Cast Iron Chains"
A set of 32 posts made of Hauteville stone, an extremely hard limestone that has held an enviable position worldwide in the fields of construction and sculpture since the 19th century. Crafted by a master craftsman. The posts are solid stone, and the false wooden knots are made of reconstituted stone, a technique from the 1930s. Provenance: The Mayor of Hauteville; they were used to create a symbolic barrier. The chains are made of cast iron from a high-quality foundry. We do not have all the chains, but all the posts are also fitted with cast iron hooks. On average, the height is 95 cm and the diameter is 15 cm. This unusual set offers the potential for a superb decorative display.
