Glove box in burr wood veneer (19th century) Wooden glove box, veneered with burr wood, rectangular in shape. The lid is decorated with a central marquetry design, highlighting the refined character of the object. The front is equipped with a lock with a keyhole, which works. This type of box was used to store gloves, fans, or small precious items, and naturally found its place on a dressing table or in a toiletry cabinet. Good overall condition, with signs of use consistent with its age. On display at Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, at 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
