"Two-part Walnut Buffet, Empire Style, 1/2 Columns."
Two-part buffet in natural fruitwood. Solid walnut. Empire style. Model known as a "half-column" buffet. The upper section features two solid doors, and the lower section has two drawers in the frieze, each with two doors. Provincial work, 19th century. Restorations consistent with age and use. For reference, the lower section is 95 cm high. The piece is made of walnut, but elm was originally chosen for the upper rail, which was stained to match the walnut.
