"Bottle Passions Decoupis 19th"
An authentic late 19th-century passion bottle belonging to a bargee. His father had inherited the barge from his father… My friend broke this hereditary cycle. He doesn't have his sea legs. This is to best describe the provenance of this old passion bottle. It took a great deal of patience and meticulousness to place these chromolithographs, called "cutouts," into the hammered glass bottle, before having it blessed to protect the vessel and its occupants… My friend received it from his father, who himself inherited it from his father, on the barge… But I'm repeating myself.
