The Lovers, circa 1905, vintage silver gelatin print signed with the monogram "Lenhert and Landrock Tunis". A very fine print of a couple in love in Tunis in the 1900s. Beautiful format (approximately 30 x 40 cm) and excellent chemistry. The photographer Rudolf Lenhert (1878-1948) and his partner Ernst Landrock founded the most important photography studio in the Mediterranean basin at the beginning of the 20th century. Heir to the Orientalist wave of the 19th century, Lenhert discovered the Orient in the 1900s and partnered in 1904 with Landrock, a manager who ensured the success of their photographic studio in Tunis.
