"Small Grand Tour Vase In The Greek Style, Late 19th/early 20th Century "
This pretty little vase, an aryballos, with a spout, was used to apply perfumed oils to the skin. It is a high-quality replica of an original that travelers on the Grand Tour of the late 19th century could acquire. The front of the vase is decorated with black figures on a red background, while the back has a uniformly black slip. Concretions enhance the object's archaeological appearance. It is in good condition. Its handle has been reattached at some point in the past.
