Louis XVI Period Game Table Known As "tric Trac"
A mahogany and mahogany veneer games table, known as a "trictrac" table. The hinged top, covered in leather and felt, reveals a backgammon board. It opens to reveal four drawers and a pull-out compartment inlaid with a chess set on one side and a checkers set on the other. It includes its tokens, pieces, cup, and dice. The uprights and legs are tapered and fluted. Stamped Etienne AVRIL, Master in 1774. Louis XVI period, 18th century
