"Prussian Spiked Helmet, Pickelhaube Landwehr, Trooper Model, 1895-1914"
Regulation Prussian Landwehr spiked helmet, enlisted model, used by the Imperial German Army between 1895 and the beginning of the First World War. The helmet is made of blackened leather, in good condition, with a uniform and authentic patina. It is fitted with its brass components: removable spike mounted on a ventilated base, rim, side studs, and regulation front plate. The stamped brass Prussian Landwehr eagle plate is adorned with the central coat of arms and the characteristic banner "Mit Gott für König und Vaterland" (With God for King and Fatherland), framed by traditional heraldic emblems. The interior bears period markings, confirming it is an enlisted helmet with a leather liner conforming to regulation standards. Chinstrap present, mounted on side buttons. A coherent and unreassembled piece, showing wear consistent with age and military use, without major alterations. A representative example of Prussian reserve units on the eve of the 1914 conflict, sought after for its simplicity and authenticity. An original collector's item, ideal for enthusiasts of German Imperial militaria or for museum display.
